Create original favors with the bride's dessert: the Faldacchea

The Bride's Dessert

This dessert is a delight born over a century ago in bari in a convent of nuns with really fairy hands! The Faldacchea consists of a heart of sponge cake, wrapped in a very soft almond paste and finally covered with a chocolate glaze. The original black cherry recipe has today been flanked by modern toppings, such as bayles or amaretto, but the taste of tradition is absolutely authentic. The Faldacchea, moreover, is called "the sweet of the bride" since tradition wants to be donated as a thought for the newly celebrated wedding!
